Whilst we might not be quite ready to say that Spring has officially sprung, we are hopefully looking forward to lighter nights and a bit more sun on our skin. To help you make the most of your Spring in 2016, we’re going to give you the lowdown on all the fun things happening in your local area over the next few months, starting with our beautiful capital: Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Fashion Week, 5th – 13th March: Back by popular demand and a great day out in the capital, especially if you’re looking to treat your mum. Nab yourself some great discounts on popular brands as well as discovering some of Edinburgh’s best kept boutique secrets. Sip on champers on the Mound with the cool fashion folk and just enjoy the vibe. Whatever you fancy, it’s well worth popping into.

Edinburgh International Science Festival, 26th March – 10th April: For families, the Science Festival provides exciting, engaging and educational activities the whole family can enjoy: from unique immersive workshops to sensational shows from the world’s best science performers. It also has a series of engaging talks and lectures for adults who want to explore the mysteries of the universe.

TradFest, 27th April – 6th May: TradFest takes place in Edinburgh and boasts over eighty events and shows spread across twenty six venues. The festival features Scottish and international music concerts, talks and debates spanning Scottish cuisine to political self determination, storytelling sessions revelling in mystical folklore, Fringe theatre, puppet shows, walking tours, visual arts, film screenings, conferences and craft fairs.

Beltane Fire Festival, 30th April: Now this is not one to be missed, we promise! An absolutely stunning affair on Carlton Hill to celebrate the coming of the summer; this is a fiery interpretation of the traditional Celtic tradition.

Spa in the City, 21st – 22nd May: Fun and free! Beauty experts and shops all over the city offer free treatments and fabulous advice for those looking to spend a relaxing weekend in the city centre. A great chance to test out some big name brands without having to smash out a fortune.

Scotland’s Big Nature Festival, 21st – 22nd May: Interested in wildlife or just love the outdoors? Then you might want to attend this event at the beautiful Levenhall Links in Musselburgh! With an extensive range of wildlife talks, workshops and activities such as bird ringing and pond dipping the festival has something for everyone, from keen birders to family adventurers.

We hope we’ve found something in there you like. For rates and dates of our beautiful Edinburgh City centre flats, you can check out our site here.
